Exterior Halloween Decor Tour

Sep 24

Last week I shared an indoor tour of my halloween decor and return today to share the exterior! Does anyone else get totally excited about Fall and Holiday decor / tours?!
The weather has been absolutely perfect so it was nice to get outside this weekend with the kids to decorate. Never mind we may be the first in our neighborhood to have any kind of pumpkin on the porch…we’re setting the trend! Truth is, we are just too excited about Halloween!
Now, because it’s only the last week of September, I’ll be adding a bit more to the front porch. Clearly, we need more pumpkins but our pumpkin patch doesn’t open until october…so next month I’ll share an updated photo. For the time being, this is where we stand…

I drove in last night to this beautifully lit entry. *sigh* Love!…

And love the glow you see coming from inside when the entry lights are on…

Since we spend quite a bit of time on the patio during the fall, I like to add a little color out here too…
For some added neighborhood scare, every year I decorate the mailbox with cobwebs…
The mailman has something to say each year about this guy staring him down…

Look at those cute, beady, red eyes! The kids love the furry little guy…can’t help it!

Beautiful home! Nice decorations. I love adding lights to our porch as well. It gives it a little more warmth.

I'm new here and looking for inspiration since having a new baby! I'm a little late starting my harvest/halloween theme this year. Our neighbors are wondering what is going on with us, this year. Lol! I, started yesterday…Usually start decorating on the first of September, as well.

    Nice pics.

    • Hi Kim!

Thank you so much for the sweet comment! You are too kind!!!

Congrats on the new baby! What a special time. Brings back so many special memories when I think of my first baby coming home – is this your first baby?? Just enjoy every precious moment. Enjoy it all – especially during the crazy holidays. 🙂

      xo,

It looks great, Samantha! Even though we are both retired, we have six "Grands," so I definitely decorate! I haven't put the "spookies" out yet (probably in another week or so), but everything is decorated for Fall. Here in the Arizona desert, we have to "fake" Fall, and I've put my heart and soul into doing just that!

I always enjoy your blog, Samantha, and get so many great ideas. I'm a pretty organized person, too, but I'm always interested in getting new ideas. Thanks so much for sharing.

  3. Everything looks so festive and fun!! Great job. I also like the indoor sneak peek of the entryway table lined with pumpkins. So cute to look through the front door and see that. I just love this time of year!

    • Awe, thank you!!!! You are so sweet!!!!

I love this time of year too. It always brings me back to when we welcomed our first baby into the house. Hard to believe he will be 8 next week – boo hoo!!

      Sam

  5. You have a beautiful home. Love the giant spider. My weekly linky party–One Creative Weekend–has gone spooky this week in honor of my thirteenth party. If you haven’t already, I hope you’ll visit "One Creative Weekend" on OneCreativeMommy.com (open every Fri-Wed) and link up this idea and anything else you’d like to share. (You can include non-Halloween posts as well, but feel free to link up as many Halloween-themed posts as you like.) There are two categories—one for Halloween and one for everything else.
