Hope you had a great weekend! Today my boys head back to school. Hard to believe – 4th, 2nd and pre-k’er’s live in this house.
Today I’m here to share an update on my current big indoor project – Aiden’s big boy / tween bedroom. There’s a few things left to do and should be wrapped up / able to share a full reveal in about a week. But since there’s been progress, thought I would share an update!
Since building the shelf, I found a great area rug (at Home Goods) for the large, empty, hardwood floor space…
It’s an 8 x 10 and works well right here on this span of floor space. Maybe not exactly “tween”ish, but at some point these hardwoods will be re-done. I wanted an area rug that could be used in other areas around the house. Love the color and pattern!
His bean bag loungers arrived…
These are from PB Teen…and he loves them! They are bigger than a standard bean bag, so the boys and their friends can grow into them/use them for quite a while…
His bedding is here…also from PB Teen (quilt, sheets, pillows and shams)…
Love this table! So cool and industrial / lockerish. Is that a word? His chair arrived too – this one is from Amazon…
As far as what’s next on my to-do list? His desk arrives on Tuesday (yay!). In the meantime he’s been working on this temporary folding desk…
I’m adding my favorite Martha Stewart Wall Manager components directly above his desk to hold items (keeping them off his work space) and to pin photos of friends, school work, etc…maybe add some floating shelves? Still thinking about this wall….
At this point in the game I’m asking for his input. He’s a sports guy and we have a lot of wall hangings that could work in here…but could use re-framing. So, additional wall hangings are in the works…all sports related, of course! 😉 I’m adding wall hangings in the bathroom too…
My electrician is stopping by this week to mount his tv and add the overhead ceiling light.
We are coming along in here though and can’t wait to call it a wrap…
…because you know me. I’ve already started up my next big house project – outdoor lighting, a gate and a mailbox. Woot!Have a great Monday, friends!
I love what you've done with his room! I'm just not gonna show it to Ian cuz he will be sooo jealous! Lol! He is long overdue for an upgrade. I wish I had your vision & creativity! I love what you do post tho – helps me to see what might be possible! Great job!!
