New House: Pool Demo Progress

Jun 25

In just one weeks time our pool has gone from this….

To this….

To this….

How’s that for a “we’ve arrived in the neighborhood, everyone! don’t mind this pesky jackhammer racket going on over here for hours on end.”.

Ha!!

Yup, already making friends with the neighbors! That’s the way I roll.
Seriously though, here we were on Thursday….

I mean, the amount of concrete is shocking. Definitely didn’t look like there was that much of it until they broke it into a million pieces, right?

And here we are on Saturday after some concrete disposal…

They’ve started forming the spa now…

Here’s the view from the spa toward the house…

I’m blown away by the progress made in one week. On tap for this coming week? They are do more inner pool demo and will begin shaping the shelf, steps and spa. They are also going get started on the pool equipment. When I’m there next week, I’ll choose pool materials/colors and it will really start to come together. I can’t wait to see where the pool stands at this time next week.

When I’m there in person.

Excited!!

So grateful to not be living there through this messy job. Because did I mention that the french drains are going in on the property as well…

And a new roof will be going up in a few weeks?

Yes, 3 different crews managing 3 very messy jobs. God certainly has a way of making everything happen for a reason. Am grateful to be living in this rental house with the kids…And not there with 3 kids out for the summer and a zillion boxes to unpack!
